‘ पूर्णता गौरवाय ’

Parle Tilak Vidyalaya Association founded in 1921, established Parle now Sathaye College, as Arts and Science college in 1959 with a vision to promote an institution of higher learning for the overall development of youth i.e ‘पूर्णता गौरवाय’

Sathaye College is accredited for the third time with an ‘A’ grade by NAAC and enjoys a good reputation in Mumbai with 7000 + students studying B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., B.Sc. I.T., B.M.S., B.M.M., MSc., M.A., Ph.D. courses.
The illustrious path led by the earlier Principals was further illuminated by the excellent performance of our students in academic, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities. Parle College was renamed ‘Sathaye College’ in 1993. Looking at the changing academic, societal, and industrial scenario new courses were regularly added.

The College has bagged the Best Vocational Institution (NCERT) Award at +2 level, Best NSS unit, and Best NCC unit awards. It was adjudged as ‘Best College of 2013-14’ and was awarded the certificate by the University of Mumbai on 26th January 2015. In the year 2014-15, the College was awarded ‘Vice Chancellor’s Banner’ for excellent work by the NCC unit. Our college students have excelled in all spheres of activities such as Theatre, Music, Dance, Debate, Elocution, Fine Arts. In sports, our students have been selected to represent our country.

The college organizes various programs to make students aware of the social and political scenarios at local and global levels. The students participate in a variety of social activities which makes them environment conscious and more sensitive, empathetic to the status of different strata of society. We understand that students’ future gets shaped in classrooms and hence they need to acquire the qualities to become global citizens here themselves.
The college thus strives to give substance to the vision of its founding fathers. Every year hundreds of young people leave its portals equipped not just with degrees but also with life-enhancing skills: therein lies the measures of its success.
