Science
(Each paper of 100 marks)
1. A student is required to select three science subjects of two units each and also one paper in Foundation Course/ N.C.C.Studies Each unit of an experimental subject will carry one paper of 100 marks. The practical examination of 100 marks. Each unit of a non-experimental subject will carry one paper of 100 marks.
A student is permitted to select any one of the following groups.
- Chemistry - Botany - Zoology
- Chemistry - Physics - Mathematics
- Chemistry - Microbiology - Botany*
- Physics - Mathematics - Statistics
- Physics - Chemistry - Botany AND
- Foundation Course - I / N.C.C. Studies (only available to NCC cadets)
Theory + Project (75 + 25)
(Each paper of 100 marks)
A student is required to select Seven papers as under :
Two Science subjects offered at F.Y.B.Sc. (as per the scheme available in this college) and Foundation course II / N.C.C. Studies. Theory + Project (75 + 25) Each unit of an experimental science subject will carry one paper of 100 marks. The practical examination of 50 marks for each course. Each unit of a non-experimental subject will carry one paper of 100 marks.
A student may offer any one of the following groups.
- Chemistry and Botany
- Chemistry and Zoology
- Chemistry and Physics
- Chemistry and Microbiology
- Botany and Zoology
- Physics and Mathematics
- Mathematics and Statistics.

A student is required to select any one of the following subjects as his/ her Major subject. The Major subject shall be one of the science subjects offered by the student in the S.Y.B.Sc. Class. Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and Microbiology 4 papers of Theory. Each paper of 100 marks. 4 practicals’, each of 50 marks.
In addition to the above, each student shall offer two papers of a subject under the Applied Component Group
The details of the same will be given as per university guidelines which shall be received in due course.
Major Subject & Applied Component- Mathematics: Computer Programming & System Analysis
- Statistics : Operations Research
- Physics : Electronic Instrumentation
- Chemistry : Drugs (Semester V) & Dyes (Semester VI)
- Botany : Horticulture and Gardening
- Zoology : Marine Science
- Microbiology : Food Production & processing
N.B. : The conduct of practical examination in the applied component will be carried out as per university guidelines.
(Provision for teaching various subjects under the group depends upon the availability of a minimum number of 24 students offering that subject. In case the minimum number is not available. the student will be required to change the subject in conformity with the scheme to be notified later.)
