Admission (BSc. IT)

Instructions:

  • A Candidate for being eligible for admission to the degree course in Bachelor of Science Information Technology (B.Sc. I.T.) needs to have passed the XII standard examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent with Mathematics as one of the subject and secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate, and 40% marks in aggregate in case of Reserved category candidate, at one and the same sitting.
    OR
    A candidate who has passed the Diploma in Computer Engineering/ Computer Science / Computer Technology / Electrical Electronics and Allied branches, Mechanical and Allied branches, Civil and Allied branches of Engineering are eligible the admission to the First Year of B.Sc. (I.T.) degree course. However, the Diploma should be recognized by the Board of Technical Education or any other recognized Government body. Minimum Marks required is 45% aggregate for open category candidates and 40% aggregate for reserved category candidates.
    AND
    Students with Post HSC-Diploma in Computer Engineering / Computer Science/ Computer Technology will be eligible for direct admission to Second year B.Sc. (I.T.). However, the Diploma should be recognized by the Board of Technical Education or any other recognized Government body. The Subject of Mathematics at Post HSC - Diploma is Compulsory.
    No Common Entrance Test will be conducted.
    Admission will be on the basis of merit. (Mathematics Marks)

  • SEATS ARE RESERVED FOR BACKWARD CLASS STUDENTS AS PER GOVERNMENT RULES:
    Of the total number of seats, 50% are reserved for Reserved Category students. Students belonging to the Backward Classes are required to submit the Caste Certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the State of Maharashtra.
