Admission (Junior College)
Rules Concerning Admission:
Admission to F.Y.J.C. Arts (Std. XI), F.Y.J.C. Science (Std. XI) (including Vocational Course under Technical Group), F.Y.J.C. Commerce (Std. XI) and MCVC (Std. XI) will start after the declaration of the S.S.C. result by the Mumbai Divisional Board of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Pune, during the hours to be notified for the purpose.

A student who has passed at one and the same attempt, the 10-year S.S.C. Examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Pune (hereinafter called “the Board”), or any other examination recognised as equivalent there to by the Board is eligible for admission to the F.Y.J.C. (Std. XI) class in Arts or Science or Commerce or +2VOC Course.

Admission for those, passing an Examination other than that conducted by the Board is provisional as long as the Final Eligibility Certificate issued by the Mumbai Divisional Board is not submitted to the college. The student should apply for Eligibility Certificate to the Mumbai Divisonal Board through the college along with his/her necessary documents before the notified date, failing which his/her admission is liable to be cancelled.

For admission to the F.Y.J.C. class, it is necessary to produce the following documents together with an attested copy of each of the following:
# S.S.C. Exam. Passing Certificate.
# Statement of Marks of the examination mentioned above.
# School Leaving Certificate.
# Eligibility Certifi cate in the case of those passing an examination other than that conducted by the Maharashtra State Board.
# Aadhar CardThe students are hereby informed that the original School Leaving Certificate will be kept by the College as a Permanent Record and in any case, will not be returned to the student. The students are advised to keep with them sufficient number of attested copies for future use, if necessary. It is said that the original School Leaving Certificate is required to be produced at the time of getting a Domicile Certificate. The students are advised to take due care in this regard and make necessary arrangement in such cases. (The School Leaving Certificate once submitted to the college will NOT be returned in any case.)

A student who has passed the F.Y.J.C. (Std. XI) Exam. from a recognised institution in Maharashtra, or any other examination recognised as equivalent thereto by the Board is eligible for admission to the S.Y.J.C. (Std. XII) class.

A student who has passed the F.Y.J.C. Exam. in Science or Commerce is permitted to join the S.Y.J.C. class in Arts. A student who has passed the F.Y.J.C. Exam. in Science is permitted to join the S.Y.J.C. class in Commerce.

A student seeking admission to the college shall have to present himself along with an application in the prescribed form duly filled in and signed by him and endorsed by his parent/guardian, for an interview by the Principal. No admission shall be regarded as duly granted unless it is granted by the authority of the Principal and the necessary fees have been received by the college.

All admissions are valid only for one academic year and are required to be renewed by a fresh application in the prescribed form for every subsequent year of study in the college.

Normally, a student of this college, who has qualified himself for admission to a higher class, will be admitted to such a class, provided application for the purpose in the prescribed form, duly filled in, has been received with the necessary fees within the notified period.

Seats are reserved for Backward Class Students as per Govt. Rules. Students belonging to the Backward Classes are required to submit Caste Certificates issued by the competent Authority in the State of Maharashtra.
Instructions:

Those who have opted for General Mathematics at S.S.C. Examination cannot opt for Mathematics & Statistics in any stream.

Students should note that they will not be permitted to change subjects once offered.

The Medium of instruction in the college is English. However, Sanskrit is taught in English, Marathi & Hindi.

A student will not be held eligible to appear for F.Y.J.C./S.Y.J.C. Exam. unless he produces a certificate of having satisfactorily completed the course in the subject ‘Physical Education’.
Physical Education Examination for all the students (Boys & Girls) will be held in the college every year.
The F.Y.J.C. Arts / Science / Commerce students who fail to appear for the Physical Education Examination are liable to be treated to have failed in the Examination.
The S.Y.J.C. Arts / Science / Commerce students who fail to appear for the Physical Education Examination will not be allowed to appear for the H.S.C. Examination.
A physically disabled candidate, who on the advice of a Registered Medical Practitioner, is unable to complete the course in Physical Education will have to apply with Medical Certificate to the Divisional Secretary, Mumbai Divisional Board, Mumbai through the Principal well in advance. -
As per the Board’s rule, students of F.Y.J.C. Arts / Science / Commerce and + 2 VOC should note that they should pass in their Environment Education Examination. Separate passing in theory & project work of EVS is essential. If they fail to do so they are liable to be treated as failed in the F.Y.J.C. Annual Examination.

Students will have to pay additional fees if they select Psychology, French or German.
