About Department

Bachelor of Science in Information Technology [B.Sc(IT)] was introduced by the University of  Mumbai in the year 2001. Our college commenced the course right from its inception and formed the B.Sc(IT) Department(2001) and has since been successfully running the course for 20 years now.
The college also started a full-time MSc Information Technology course from the year 2004.  
Starting from the academic year 2022-23 the Department of Information Technology has introduced the new course MSc Data Science.

Taking into account the current trend, the department has introduced two add-on courses: Basic Data Science, Descriptive Statistics using Python

 The Department of Information Technology has always worked towards securing Campus Recruitment for students. In accordance to that, the students have participated in numerous Pool  Campus Drive programs conducted across different colleges through out the years. Quite a few of our students are placed in renowned companies like Capgemini, L & T Infotech, Wipro, TCS, and Infosys.

About B.Sc. IT

B.Sc. IT Eligibility Criteria

1. Applicant should have passed Class Twelve from a recognized board

• Applicant from Maharashtra Board is eligible

• If the applicant is from another board, and Eligibility certificate issued by the Eligibility Section of the University of Mumbai is necessary

• An applicant who has completed Class Twelve with Science and Commerce are eligible.

• Note: The candidate must have Mathematics as a subject in Class Twelve.

2. An applicant must have a minimum of 45% marks aggregate (open) and 40% marks aggregate (for reserved category)

3. Students with post H.S.C. – Diploma in Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Computer Technology / Information Technology and allied branches of IT will be eligible for direct admission to the Second Year of B.Sc. (IT).

Note: Diploma should be recognized by the Board of Technical Education or any other recognized Government body.

M.Sc. IT Eligibility Criteria

Applicant should have any one of the following degree from University of Mumbai or any other recognized University with minimum 45 percent of marks with Mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+ 02 or equivalent examination.:
